Nursery Director
Health and Safety Officer

CACHE L3 Diploma, Emergency Paediatric and First Aid at Work, Food Safety and Hygiene, Recruiting Safely, Fire Warden.

Childcare and education has always been a part of my life. Pine Rivers has been a family run nursery for over 42 years. Initially, I became nursery administrator, supporting my Mother in the day to day running of the business.

Over the years I have developed a passion for childcare and have more recently taken on the role of Nursery Director. My vision for the nursery is one based on years of experience coupled with new and exciting initiatives.

I have the added experience of nurturing my own three grown up children and now enjoying time with my granddaughters.

Working closely alongside Helen on a daily basis, my varied role ranges from staff development, to nursery promotion and administration to site management.

CACHE L3 Diploma, Emergency Pediatric First Aid, Food Safety and Hygiene, Recruiting Safely. Safe Guarding Children, Fire Warden Training

I have worked with pre-school children for over sixteen years, in mainstream and in a setting for children with additional needs.

I came to Pine Rivers as a baby room leader and later became assistant manager.

As Manager I am lucky to be hands on and work within all the rooms, seeing the different age groups develop.

My favorite part of childcare is reading the children stories, talking and listening to them, children say the most funny, imaginative things.

It makes me proud to see a child progress from Acorn, through the nursery and leave for school as a happy, confident, independent child, ready to continue their learning.

Currently I am the room Leader of Maple 3-5yr olds room.

I enjoy watching the children develop through their different stages. It pleases me to see the children be confident and ready for school.

My favourite part of the day is being creative and planning and being involved with the different daily activities with the children.
