Oaktree Room
"Even the smallest one can change the world." – Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne
In Oaktree Room, we create a nurturing and playful environment where young children explore, learn, and grow with hands-on activities that engage their natural curiosity. Through free flowing creative activities like playdough, messy play and painting they build independence and confidence encouraging self-expression and sensory development. They can engage in role-play, storytelling, and circle time to strengthen language skills which are rapidly developing at this age, and they explore early concepts in math and science through playful interactions with blocks, water, and sand.
Outdoor play is a key part of their day, offering space for physical development, whether they are riding bikes, climbing, or exploring nature in our wonderful garden. Self-care skills are also supported, with staff encouraging children to manage tasks like eating their meals independently and progressing in toilet training as and when they’re ready. Staff work closely with families, sharing updates and tailoring learning plans to each child’s needs.
This holistic approach helps toddlers develop socially, emotionally, and physically, setting a strong foundation for future learning.
